Paul Hutchinson - Editor

Having been in the RV industry for over fifteen years now, I have seen many changes and progressions over that time.

I love RV holidays and you will catch me around the country in different spots enjoying all that creation has to share.

I am a family man who enjoys spending time with those who are closest to me such as my wife and four children.

We have travelled with our best friends and a caravan and had a great time. There is no other holiday that compares to an RV. You’re not sitting behind a door, watching TV or staring at the walls wondering when morning will come. An RV holiday is always an adventure.

I take the position as editor as an opportunity to input further to the industry I love.

I hope to see you on the road and invite you to stop and have a chat anytime you can.

Kylie Dapiran - Production Editor

I love travelling, and thankfully with C&M I’ve seen many beautiful pockets of Australia, exploring the coast, the outback and all in between. I’ve met colourful characters on the road, friendly caravan club members, and a few famous faces too.

As well as touring, I enjoy a good book, good food, and meeting new people. I enjoy nothing more than walking my dog on the beach, packing a picnic, cycling, and bushwalking.

I look forward to hearing your stories, and telling you some of my own. Look out for us as we travel in our soon-to-be renovated van, Candy.

See you on the road.

Somehow I’ve arrived at this stage of life with an eclectic mix of experience including: fostering passions for writing, reading and research, taking five different specialist workshops to become a mechanic and driving across America fixing cars and houses in a Winnebago (and bringing home a wife!).

For some reason, Caravan and Motorhome – in their wisdom – have decided to pay me for mixing all these together into a full-time playground of probing, testing and writing about vehicles. Score!

The catch is I have to travel around the country sometimes, stay in new places and meet heaps of new people. It’s a hard life.

Don’t tell the wife, but I would trade in our apartment for a mobile home quicker than you could say Route 66, or The Great Ocean Road, or The Nullarbor...

I’m one of those lucky people; I can combine my love for travelling and writing together, and Caravan and Motorhome have given me the opportunity to do just that for them!

To me, every trip is an adventure, with new things to see and people to meet. I love trying to find out the hidden gems and curious places and spend ridiculous amounts of hours researching my trips before I go, even if it’s just a weekend away.

Some of my earliest memories are travelling down the NSW south coast in my Grandparent’s pop top caravan –
one of those 1970s florescent orange specials. Since then I’ve been travelling overseas but now I’m excited to focus my attention to my own backyard to uncover some of Australia’s awesome secrets for you to enjoy.

I've been fortunate enough in my life, to travel twice around this great world we live in. The photographs I took whilst travelling were good enough to make the pages of many Lonely Planet travel books.  I love the snow, the beach and the surf life-saving scene which is a big part of my photography, and a big part of my family that I am bringing up in Cronulla, Sydney.

Since my last 2 year stint overseas I have been making the most of our beautiful waves, beaches and mountains. I can now say for certain that we really are the best and luckiest country in the world. Now these awesome magazine guys want me to work for them which means I'm now travelling round the country side, meeting lots of cool people (travelling in style too I  might add in some cool caravans and 4WDs) and loving every minute of it. It’s a tough gig I know I hear you say. Caravanning is a new ball game for me, but one that I embrace with open arms.

I can happily say I love my wife, my life and my work. I hope you enjoy the images of the country and caravan touring that I bring to the pages of this great magazine. If only they had caravan parks right up in the snow, then I could pack my skis in a caravan, drive off into the sunset, head off to the snow and my life would be complete.
